How Does Acid Reflux Surgery Work?
To start, we'll administer general anesthesia to keep you asleep throughout the procedure. Using our advanced laparoscopic equipment, we'll make a series of tiny incisions around the abdomen to create space for surgical tools to be inserted. The scope includes a small camera, which allows our team to work without needing to make a large cut. We'll then install the LINX device around the area where the esophagus and stomach meet. The LINX is made up of titanium beads with magnets inside. As you swallow, the LINX will loosen, allowing food or liquids to pass through before closing again.
